This is a pioneering series of 7 lectures on the SOCIAL DOCTRINE OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.
The seven lectures of 30-45 minutes each were given to executives and professionals in February 2010 in Makati City by Dr. Bernardo M. Villegas, a well-known Philippine economist. He gives a concise but complete overview of the Church’s social teachings to address appropriately the societal issues and troubling concerns of the human person, the country and the world in this day and age.
Dr. Villegas is a Visiting Professor of IESE Business School in Barcelona and Professor at the University of Asia and the Pacific. He obtained his Ph. D. in Economics at Harvard University. He is the author of economics textbooks widely used in Philippine schools and a number of management bestsellers. He regularly writes for both local and international newspapers, such as the International Herald Tribune and the Asian Wall Street Journal.
